Privacy Policy for RexLast updated: July 24, 2026Rex ("the app") is developed by Ben Sterne ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what information Rex collects, how it's used, and your choices. In short: Rex does not collect, transmit, or share any personal information about you.Information We Do Not CollectRex does not require an account, sign-in, or registration of any kind. We do not collect your name, email address, location, contacts, photos, or any other personally identifiable information. Rex contains no advertising, no analytics tracking, and no third-party tracking SDKs.Information Stored On Your DeviceRex stores the following information locally on your device only, using standard iOS storage (UserDefaults and local cache files). This information is never transmitted to us or to any third party:Your selected currency pairs and base currency
Your favorited and pinned currencies
Cached exchange rate and historical rate data, so the app can show recent rates and charts even without an internet connectionThis data stays on your device and is removed automatically if you delete the app.Network RequestsTo display exchange rates, Rex sends requests to our backend service (a Cloudflare Worker) to fetch current and historical currency exchange rates. These requests contain only the currency codes needed to retrieve a rate (for example, "USD" and "EUR"). They do not contain your name, device identifier, location, or any other information that could identify you personally.Our backend service does not maintain user accounts or profiles, and we do not correlate requests with any individual user.Third-Party ServicesRex sources exchange rate data from third-party rate providers (such as Wise) via our backend service. We do not share any of your information with these providers.
